A coping mechanism for men who sit on or below the average height scale. Usually used in the presence of women in an attempt to prove worthiness, especially when real men are in the vicinity.
Man 1: All the women here won’t even talk to me, 5’ 8” isn’t even short. It’s above average! They don’t respect what it means to be a Short King.
Man 2: (Leaving with a woman) Poor guy over there, he seems to be coming up short all night.
Man 1: You’re only 6ft that’s not even that much taller than me!

Examination of the male genitals, especially the penis to verify good hygiene and absence of disease. Years ago, VD (veneral disease) was spreading among army personnel so soldiers had to submit to these exams to insure that there were no unusual discharges from the penis and (especially uncircumsized) soldiers were clean. Since the rifle was nicknamed the long arm, the penis was named the short arm which is the origin of the name.
The sarge woke us up at 2 AM last night to perform short arm inspections.

Stereotypical analysis of men of shorter stature. Based on the fact that some shorter men act more aggressive to compensate for lack of height. Yet failing to realize not every short guy is like that. Some men are just aggressive whereas others need to be more assertive. (Peep this: No two people are exactly alike)

Guy:That one short guy in the group tried fighting the bouncer. No reason at all. He's got short man syndrome.
Guy2: Yeah I saw that, but that other short guy was just chill in', talking and dancing with women. He's got more confidence, doesn't seem to care about his height.

What the best Urban Dictionary definitions are. If you look at pretty much anything before January 2005, you will see that the highest rated definitions are usually 5-6 words long, have no example, and when they do, it doesn't have the defined word in it.
