Hip-pop

Ja Rule's occupation, based on the devouration of hot-dogs and saying 'Murder Inc.' in every song.

... And here is Ja Rule, the unloved Hip-Pop artist who just released his new album 'Where Would I Be Without Thirty Bags of Wombat Flesh?'

Fargo Pop

Considered by the Generals Zero Hour Community to be the worst possible moment to "pop" out all of your units from your tunnel ,because they will face an almost certain death, but you do it anyway.

It sure look's like he's going to win after putting in an absolutely crazy Performance. Ah wait... he just did a fargo Fargo Pop and lost 8 Busses, a Jarmen and a quad. Now it's over, he's thrown the game... GG

pop goth

A particular group of people that only dress and act gothic when it's popular to do so. Hot Topic goes through certain "phases" in their merchandising. Sometimes they cater to the punk kids. Sometimes they cater to the emo kids. And sometimes they cater to the goth kids. But the goth kids I make reference to are not bona-fide goth kids. They are only goth kids when it's their turn at Hot Topic. But when their turn ends and Hot Topic turns emo once again (they never cater to the metalheads, Hot Topic metal is trash) they may in fact be normal kids. dressing in normal clothes and acting like normal kids act.

"I liked Nightmare Before Christmas a lot more before the pop goths at Hot Topic wore it out and ruined it."

pop the collar

A post-play celebration used in both American Football and soccer (futbol). In the American game, is it usually performed by a defender after a resounding hit while the hittee is still on the ground. In soccer, it is often used in conjunction with other post-goal celebrations.

The NFL and NCAA have basically put a stop to it by penalizing any player that does it. It is also one of the celebration animations found in EA Sports' NCAA Football 2005. As in real-life, you risk a penalty flag if you perform it.

After a big goal-line hit, a player will often pop the collar by putting their hands near the front of their shoulder pads and make a lifting motion. In response, the refs will happily lift the flag out of their back pockets.

pop punk

Nobody here has once said that Pop-Punk usually involves harmonies, and being creative with different progressions. The only reason the word "Pop" is in front of punk, is because melodies are a lot more structured and clearer. It's just music that is easy on the ears, and usually talks about love, failure, and life. Much like the golden 50's, Pop-Punk is the equivelent to doo-wop bands like the early Beatles and The temptations. Though there can be many bad Pop-punk bands who sing about going to school and riding skateboards, it is just a form of music for the youth. I just say that back in the day, it was ok to sing about love, but what happened?

Kid 1:I really enjoy these Pop Punk bands.
Kid2: I know! Those 3 part harmonies are ridiculous!

Desk pop

Accidentally firing your weapon in a video game / giving away your position to the other team. It’s a reference to a scene from β€œThe Other Guys” when Will Ferrell fires his pistol into the ceiling of his office.

I pulled a desk pop while looting.
