road rave

(n) the act of using a FM transmitter and MP3 player to bump massive, sweaty beats into the cars neighboring yours in a traffic jam with the hope of instigating a group dance event. Glow sticks are mandatory.

I was sitting in traffic on 95 yesterday when, all of the sudden, everyone around me got out of their cars and we had a good, old-fashioned road rave.

road trip

Visiting my fucking in-laws on psychotropic drugs.

We better pack plenty of mushrooms for the road trip to your parents. Then the utter shit that comes out of their mouths might make some sense.

ring road

Road ring is a usless slang word roadring to confuse the true definition of a roadway looping around a city or group of cities, commonly and correctly named "loop", which was planned and build for transportation purposes. Beltway is another acceptable term, but not "road ring".

Ring road should never be used in a sentence referring to a road or group of roads. Say "beltway" or "loop".

Road dawg

A malapropism of the term β€œroll dawg”. Originates from prison slang or possibly Greek. No one knows or cares. Defined as someone from your area, thats down, and has your back wherever you go.

Ali called Dunkin her β€œroad dawg” but he swiftly corrected her; informing her that they rolled together not road together.

Dunkin is Ali’s ROLL DAWG.
