Pandora Effect

A condition causing one to feel a strange mix of emotions (which may include awe, disappointment, giddiness, emptiness, warmth, and most of all depression) after watching James Cameron's Avatar movie. For many it has changed the way they see the world and life in general.

There are several treatments for someone who has the Pandora Effect; go see the movie again and again, watch youtube videos about Neytiri (or anything Avatar-related), and going to Avatar-Forums.com to find further help.

*walking out of Avatar*
<Guy A>: Mannn, I wanna be a Na'vi... with Neytiri...
<Guy B>: I'm sure there's someone like her.
<Guy A>: But I want HER in her blueness.
<Guy B>: Dude chill, its just a movie... Me toO! *sniff*
<Guy A>: *sniff* I know... looks like we have the Pandora Effect...

*goes back for another showing*

The Morgan Effect

The Morgan Effect began in the year 2010, when a pop/punk band named Chasing Morgan began to play music. They began to gain to gain popularity quickly. This popularity soon bacame fame. When the fame came along the Morgan Effect really went into action. The Morgan Effect soon became the uncontrollable action for females to remove clothing when hearing music from the band Chasing Morgan.

I was at the Chasing Morgan concert when the "Morgan Effect" went into action.

The Morgan Effect was crazy! Every single girl was naked!

The Morgan Effect started and there wasn't one girl standing with clothes on.

Lando Effect

Tendency amongst bigots to show solidarity with a race/religious/ethnic group they normally despise when a member of that group is beating up on another minority the bigot hates even more. When one brand of racism trumps another.

Princess Leia only shows disdain for Wookiees throughout the Star Wars trilogy. "Get this big walking carpet out of my way!" "I'd sooner kiss a wookiee!" She even sneaks into Jabba's palace by selling off a handcuffed Chewie.

The only time she openly takes Chewbacca's side in anything is when Chewie is choking out Lando, the only black character of significance in the entire trilogy.

On Lockdown, the guards talked about how the nazi gang was allied with the mexican gang against the black gang. Whats up with that?

Lando Effect bro...Lando Effect.

Phenomenon in which one stops listening to conversation for a short interval of time, only to find it has strayed wildly from the original topic

Palin Effect

If the goin' gets tough, quit your job (even if your the governor of a state), write a book on "how to quit your job when the goin' gets tough", earn rock-star status because you can spread the bullshit with the best of 'em, kill animals on film for pay, watch the Russians from your front porch.

The Palin Effect is unlike any other in modern American lifeโ€”neither Anna Nicole Smith nor Margaret Chase Smith but a phenomenon all her own. The clouds of tabloid conflict and controversy that swirl around her and her extended clanโ€”the surprise pregnancies, the two-bit blood feuds, the tawdry in-laws and common-law kin caught selling drugs or poaching gameโ€”give her family a singular status in the roguesโ€™ gallery of political relatives. By comparison, Billy Carter, Donald Nixon, and Roger Clinton seem like avatars of circumspection.
