A rage bait artist is an individual whose entire online presence/personality is defined mostly by their topics or demeanor in which they incite rage by using intentionally provocative wording that is meant to further antagonize through manipulation tactics such as cherry-picking, red herring, or otherwise disingenuous logical fallacies meant to paint a particular narrative rather than the more complex truth.
"Did you see that video of a guy belittling sports he disagreed with? Another rage bait artist pushing for reactions he likes"
A crappy indie horror game (or any other type of game) who's selling point is the "lore" just so MatPat (Game Theory) can analyze the lore, giving undeserved publicity to said game.

To get a quarterback to throw an interception or trick someone to do something
David Daniels double d baited the quarterback for a pick
Baited for a pick means David Daniels double d to make the quarterback throw an interception
a phrase used in response to when someone tries to bait others into believing something or tries to make other people angry
troll: *something really bad*
human: bait used to be believable
Someone that totally sucks at life. Cookie Monster would never be rally bait because when he sees a cookie he takes it. Someone who is rally bait is less like Cookie Monster and more like Oscar. Oscar never leaves the trash can, he just waits for someone to come by and pops out with a grumpy face and no cookies.
“Don’t leave your cookies out, that guy will take them.”
“Nah, he’s just some rally bait.”
When an author intentionally acts like their work is complete until the bottom of the last page, baiting interested readers and inflating their fic stats to further the illusion.
An author I really like just started fic baiting (v) all their recent works and now I don't think I can trust them anymore because nothing they've actually written is finished despite the tags.
