Robbing ducks

'Robbing the ducks' as in broke, brassic, penniless, destitute, skint, resulting in a lack of nourishment necessitating the plundering of left-over bread from feeding the ducks at the local pond.

This could also be used to denote extreme desperation as a result of a lack of satisfaction in a certain aspect of ones life requiring the 'scraping of the bottom of the barrel' as an alternative to going completely without.

E.g. 1

Friend 'A'; "When was the last time you ate? Are you hungry?"
Friend 'B'; Don't know mate, I'm robbing the ducks!"

E.g. 2

"My mate's dying for a shag bless 'em, they're robbing ducks now!"

E.g. 3

Mate '1'; "How you fixed for cash geezer?"
Mate '2'; "Robbing ducks mate! Tragic."

duck toe

To profanely gesture with ones middle toe. Generally thought to be more offensive than the same gesture with the middle finger.

I was angry enough to remove my sock and give her the duck toe!

duck stuff

Duck stuff is the stuff ducks do like flip in the water and wiggle their feet trying to catch fish.

"Hey Nathan what is that duck doing? "
"It's doing duck stuff "

The ducks are sleeping

1 You would say this when you are in a boring conversation

2 when someone mentions someone who's boring

Person 1:.....so then when we got to the park......

Person 2: OMG the ducks are sleeping

Person 1: ...so then I called betty...
Person 2: Betty is sooo boring like the ducks are sleeping

duck of a puppy

large dog that curls up and sleeps like a duck would. It also thinks that it is a lap dog and at times will flap its ears like a duck flaps its wings. It never becomes an adult dog it is always a puppy.
