A well-known animated TV show from FOX. Being a ripoff from "The Simpsons", it resembles the new episodes of that cartoon much more than the classic, old ones (before the 8th season). Some people say that "Family Guy" is even (!) duller than the new Simpsons.
"Family guy" has been cancelled by FOX. But now, some new episodes are being made again.

Possible the funniest show ever thought of, it shows a daily life of the Griffin family, Peter, Louis, Stewie, Meg, Chris, and Brian.
People say it was copyed from the Simpsons... but hey... whocares..? Really. They just made it that much funnyer, cause.. lets see... Family is so much funnyer than the Simpsons. *Wins* (Neverreallylikedthesimpsonsanyways.)
Fox had Family guy, then they canceled it, then they begged for it to come back after it started to gain popularity.
In otherwords, Family Guy Rocks!
Person 1: Hey, lets go watch simpsons!
Person 2: Hey, lets not and go watch family guy!

An amazingly hilarious show. Best cartoon on earth. The characters are:
Peter Griffin- the main character, very very fat. Very very dumb. Very very random
Lois Griffin - peters wife. The logical one. Tends to get crazy once in a while and cut loose. Comes from a rich family, who dont approve of her marraige to peter, who is completely rude and ill manered.
Brian- their talking dog. Likes to be treated like a human. Sometimes his dogish quirks come out. Always has a martini on hand. Has the hotts for lois. Hates stewey but always gets roped into looking after him.
Stewey- the extremely smart baby of the family. Somehow turned out british. Has a secret plan to dominate the world. Tags along with brian all the time.
Meg- the eldest daughter. Hated by all. usually find humor in her depression and how suicidal she is. Extremely ugly. If the family had to lose one child, it would be her.
This show had its first season on Fox but was cancelled due to its dirty, crude humor. Millions of people were crushed. Other stations started playing the show, and fox lost many many viewers to those stations, after a while they realized their mistake and took the show back for a 3rd season in '05. This show is completely random, and the weirdest things always happen. A lot of times they make fun of political issues. Or other tv shows. You think one thing is going to be the plot for the first 15 minutes, but then it makes a drastic turn from there.
In one episode of Family Guy Peter became convinced that Jewish people were much more advanced, much smarter, and much better with money than non-jews. so he sang a song about needing a jew and voila a jewish accountant showed up at his door the next morning. then, he asked lois if he could give chris a bat mitzvah so he could be jewish because he thought that all jewish people were rich just because they were jewish. So, when lois said no he drove across the country to las vegas to get a quicky bat mitzvah. nice eh?

Family Guy is a vastly popular animated comedy that originally aired on FOX. Notably, it's entire fan-base consists of pretentious 12 to 15-year-old children with no taste or sense of humor.
Family Guy was created by Seth MacFarlane, who is very self-congratulatory and egotistical about the success of his show. However, it's a mostly undeserving success, as the show contains nothing but mediocre animation, and ugly art style, bland and tasteless humor, prejudiced political and racial opinions, and empty, soulless characters. The only thing this show deserves an award for is coming up with a genius marketing scheme by targeting an audience of confused, socially-inept teenagers.
The characters of Family Guy, as well as the show itself, have bloated in popularity over the years that it's been on television. Mr. MacFarlane is commonly praised for his genius writing and character development, however, if you have the intelligence to look a little deeper, you'll realize the characters are all extremely inconsistent in personality, and are simply rehashed personalities filling an otherwise empty shell.
As of now, the show is scraping at the bottom of the barrel, airing on failures of networks such as "Adult Swim", struggling to stay afloat in a sea of superior television shows. Every few months, Seth will release another unfunny, boring episode that's immediately loved unconditionally by it's pathetically unintelligent fan-base.
Jared: "Hey, man, did you see that new episode of Family Guy?"
Alex: "Yes. It was terrible and unfunny, same as always."
Jared: "NO, IT WAS FUNNY AND YOU ARE A FAGGOT FOR NOT LIKING IT!"
Alex: "Get out of my house."
