Chanted when someone or certain actions are gay, usually used by queer people on tumblr and twitter. Originated from an edited screenshot of a Yu-Gi-Oh character whispering "I can still hear his voice..." with another Yu-Gi-Oh character behind him chanting "gay gay homosexual gay"

A word vastly misused.
SHOULD be used to describe one as either:
1. Happy, Jubilant
or
2. Homosexual
To use it as a synonym for "Stupid" is offensive to some people.
Ex.
1. We come from old Virginia, where all is bright and gay.
2. Richard is a homosexual, and is therefore gay.

Using the word "gay" as a noun. This serves the purpose of epitomizing the subject of the noun as completely encompassing the essence of being gay. Not a gay person, but a gay.

2) In a happy mood.
Never insult someone for being gay. It is their choice of life, and it is like insulting someone because they're black, or they're an aethist. Insulting someone because of this is quite similar to racism.
Synonyms: Homosexual, lesbian (used with females).
Antonyms: Straight.
Adam: Hey, there's a gay couple over there.
Tim: Wow.
