silent generation

The Silent Generation refers to people who were born between 1925 and 1945. There are several theories as to where the label 'Silent Generation' originated. The children who grew up during this time worked very hard and kept quiet. It was commonly understood that children should be seen and not heard.

During this time, the House Committee on Un-American Activities launched an assault on political freedom in America. This, in conjunction with Senator Joseph McCarthy's overzealous attempts to feed anti-communist sentiment in America, made it dangerous for people to speak freely about their opinions and beliefs. They became cautious about where they went and whom they were seen with. Therefore, the people were effectively 'silenced.'

"This group of people, most known for their hard work, just stopped talking one day" ?
"Yes, the silent generation is what most people call them".

Roman General

A very masculine and strong man, who although outwardly appears completely straight, enjoys the company of pretty gay twinks, as well as beautiful women.

Damn, He's living that Roman General life. I hear he had sex with Jessica ,but I think his heart belongs to Wesley, that super gay drama Freshman

Generic Boyfriend

The scourge of all other men. These are usually guys who have that designer stubble and floppy haircut. For whatever reason, these guys always seem to have beaten you to the girl you're after by about 3 years. Since a lot of these guys are based on the same template, the term Generic Boyfriend is most suitable.

"Hey, that girl's cute."
"Forget it, man. She's got one of those Generic Boyfriends."
"Not again!"

General Reposti

What people on Reddit say when they see a repost that one attempted to post as "original" content. Happens a lot on r/PrequelMemes but can be seen elsewhere too.

User A: (Sees a post with thousands of upvotes on the front page, then proceeds to post an exact copy of that "trending" post)

User B sees that it's a repost, and puts in the comment section "General Reposti"

General Berger

When you shit yourself, whether intentionally or by mistake. This action is performed by someone in an elevated or esteemed position such as the Commandant of the United States Marine Corps, General Berger who infamously shid himself. The congruence of the high position held by the individual with the shocking and embarrassing act of shitting oneself is what constitutes pulling a General Berger.

I really thought highly of James but after he pulled that General Berger I'm just disgusted by him.

celery generals

A Tom Green-derived game that requires two people to each have their own celery general (a celery torso, celery arms, celery legs, and a cherry tomato head) and to place them on their own lane of a two lane highway. If one's celery general gets run over by a car, their opponent has to eat the flattened celery general; salad dressing is optional.

No, Jeffrey, you have to eat the celery generals off of the road. Don't even bother bringing paper plates next time.
