a) the quality of content
b) the interest or applicability to the intended audience (the Forward whore's address list).

Women know that they should always wipe front to back. But there is always lots of dirty bitches who wipe back to front. In doing so it causes the puss area to smell like a dirty garbage dumpster, Hence the term smear it forward.
Paula must not have been taught to wipe properly by her mother, cause I cought her smearing it forward while she was getting ready to go out. Later that night after a few drinks, I went to suck the snapper and I noticed the stench of rancid ass and sharp cheese all in the bottom of a garbage dumpster. Damn it Paula why do you smear it forward?

The opposite of throwback.
A sudden reminder of the future. This can be brought by hearing a song from you're retired, seeing a future boy/girlfriend, seeing robots etc. Simillar to flash forward.
