A completely valid gender that has existed for all of time but you're only discovering it now because people are more open about it because they feel safer and more comfortable. They identify outside of the gender spectrum usually. Neither male or female in gender these people are into doing whatever they like with their body without having to conform to a gender. This label works as an umbrella term too. Use they/them/their pronouns for them instead of she/her or he/him. They usually want to be referred to with a different name so ask them about this and let them know you respect who they are because coming out can be a very daunting and stressful task. Appreciate what they have gone through to get here and don't be afraid to talk about this.
Jake: Did you see her face?
Anna: It's their
Jake: What?
Anna: they're non-binary. They use they/them pronouns not she/her, respect that
Jake: Oh hell, sorry

Someone who is no gender whatsoever. I'm nonbinary and it's very frustrating seeing all these "in the middle" or "transitioning" ways of using it. It is not a blanket term for genderfluid either. It is it's own seperate thing. It means no gender whatsoever end of discussion.
Like fr please stop trying to take away my identity and allow anyone who wants it regardless if it fits them to use it. The point of labels is to know where you fit. If the labels move to fit you. They're not good labels. End of story. You're not Non-Binary if you use gendered orientations like lesbian or gay. You're not nonbinary If you're trans. You are nonbinary if you do not have a gender whatsoever. Stop trying to force the labels to fit. Thanks

The belief that there are two genders: male and female. This, of course, is incorrect because gender is a social construct. But it is still ok to identify as a gender. If labeling yourself makes you feel more comfortable that is perfectly acceptable, but that is your identity not the rest of the world has to revolve around gender. yay. stop being bigots and open your mind to new ideas.
Person 1: Why is the world centered around the belief of gender binary?
Person 2: Because humans suck. At least global warming will kill them soon enough, or they'll kill themselves through nuclear war.

A person that doesn't identify as strictly male, or female.
They often use they/them or neopronouns. Sometimes they will change their name to something else and their old name will be referred to as their dead name. Some non-binary people like to wear binders or want to medically transition or have HRT but not all of us do. Non-binary people don't owe you androgyny people!
Don't assume someone's gender or pronouns just lie you wouldn't assume a persons name!
Respect Peoples pronouns and don't be a dick
Person 1: "Hey I'm non-binary can you use ey/em and xe/xer for me?"
Person 2: "Of course! can you tell me how to use them?"
Person 1: "Sure. Ey went to the store xe got xemself a cookie and one for me, that was very thoughtful of em."
Person 2: "Ok, is there any new name you would like to use?"
Person 1: "No I'll stick with *redacted* for now 'cause I haven't found a name, but I'll tell you when I figure it out"
Person 2: "Ok thank you for being brave enough to tell me this bye"
Person 1: "Bye!"
