ok here it goes..
an emo kid is mostly a sad pathetic loser who lives in their bedrooms wrighting depressing lyrics or poems and then cutting them selves because the emotional pain turns to physical pain or sum bullshit like that. they listen to depressing music which has lyrics that are sad about something like a girlfriend who has dumped them and they want to tell the whole world about it when no one really cares. mostly they dye there hair a dark colour and/or have blonde or some light colour streaked into it. as for the cloths most of the time they will wear tight t-shirt ( atticus maybe or a band t-shirt ) they wear eye liner, if they wear glasses then theyll be thick rimmed balck ones. at a consert most emos will just stand there and listen to the music ( to all you emos if you want to do that then dont waste the bands time just stay the fuck at home . at night they come out of there emotional shell and listen to even more depressing music and cut them selves thinking its not worth living because my life suck blahblahblah. then they will fail and CRY SOME MORE . they will tell all of the people they know that they want to die.

This is coming from a 17 yr old guy who listens to classic rock, old metal (iron maiden, judas priest, etc..) Hairt metal and a good bit of new stuff. just so yo'all get that basic info on me, here goes:
for the most part, emo kids are generally in bitchy moods, whenthey have spels of happiness they are usually not long lasting, very often will cut themselves, 99.99 percent of them are bi or straight up homo (I've never met an emo kid that was straight, and im friends with alot of them) They tend not to get over ANYthing in any short amount of time, enjoy over-dramaticizing things, and tend to enjoy shitty bands like The Used, My Chemical Romance and HAwthorne Heights, who can play three or four chords (maybe) on a guitar, and attempt ot play 6 or 7 continuous notes and call it a "solo."
Emo kids, in my experience aar, for the most part, pussies.
Emo kids tend to wear makeup, mostly mascara or eyeliner, wear tight shirts and girls jeans.
the kid with the flopped over jet black hair (just like the other 70 percent of the emo community) the scars on his wrist and the mascara.

can be summed up simply as such: any person and or persons who are simply doing something to not conform but to rebel against conformity, but as by doing such conform to non-conformity by going out and purchasing emo clothes and doing their hair in an emo way.
another way of putting it is a toned down punk person, not rebeling against government and the system, but again pop clulture and stoicism.
an emo kid is any person and or persons who has their hair in a blown fashion usually over one eye and dyed black or blond, and occasionally has several colors in it, be it blue gold green black purple and turquoise in streaks blotches tips or roots.
and person and or persons wearing a tight shirt for their build and pants, for guys, that are made similar to the girl fashion, for girls, ride low and is accompanied in both occasions by a studded belt of white or black leather

Gay Kid, and not gay as in touches boys, because that is a personal preference and of no objection to any open minded person, gay as in a whiny ass little bitch who wants to be recognized for wearing his moms pants and makeup.

Someone who is in touch with all of his/her emotions EXCEPT for the emotion that comes from listening to GOOD music.
The emo kid locked himself in a closet and cried all night, because the music he listened to that evening was bad enough to make someone on their honeymoon want to jump off the hotel balcony.
