Someone who doesn't think for themselves, who's opinions are only that of whom the tool seeks approval from. A tool would never stand up to a crowd and speak of disapproval even if it was the just thing to do.
a person who does what everyone else expects them to do. Whatever gets them the most praise or popularity, whether it is good or bad or dumb, they just do it unquestioningly. A person who is being taken advantage of but they just eat it up with a spoon and ask for seconds. Some tools don't understand that they are being used, others do and will complain incessantly about being unfairly treated, while having no intention of doing anything about it.
Jim is always complaining about his horrible miserable job, but he will never take the trouble of looking for a better one. What a tool!
Tool
A person, typically male, who says or does things that cause you to give them a 'what-are-you-even-doing-here' look. The 'what-are-you-even-doing-here' look is classified by a glare in the tool's direction and is usually accompanied by muttering of how big of a tool they are. The tool is usually someone who is unwelcome but no one has the balls to tell them to get lost. The tool is always making comments that are out-of-place, out-of-line or just plain stupid. The tool is always trying too hard to fit in, and because of this, never will. However, the tool is useful because you can use them for things; money, rides, ect.
Look at that Tool! He’ll never find out he’s being used.
