For reasons unknown to man, drop shots, or shots of alcohol dropped into various liquids, have become a favorite American pastime, much like the Apple Pie or the Football. noun - when playing a game, you make a shot that seems very lucky, almost as if God intervened into the game himself and changed the path of the ball.
