Genre of music and lifestyle.
Characteristic of a genre music that focuses more on the message than the actual the music. Punk Rock arose in the 1970s from early punk rockers such as the Sex Pistols, the Ramones, and the Police. Punk Rock reached its heyday in the 1980s, but also experience a split between the "skinhead" scene and the classic punk rock scene. The skinheads were racists who used punk rock to express their message of hate and nazism. The classics stuck to the message of peace, love, understanding and an end to the establishment.
Today, punk rock is no longer a specific sound. No longer can you listen to a song and say whether it is punk or not. Because it is all about the message. Most punk bands have a social or political undertone. Modern punk bands include (although most members of the punk rock scene will argue as to what qualifies as punk) Rancid, the Offspring, Green Day, Weezer, the White Stripes, Rich Kids on LSD, NOFX, etc. All these bands have very distinct sounds, but most have very deep, message-centered songs, generally characteristic of punk.
That song sounded good, but there was something else, it sounded important.
Well yeah, it was a punk rock song, it was trying to protest the injustice in Darfur and stir up feelings of excitement to make you want to help the suffering people in Darfur. Punk Rock has to have a major underlying message, otherwise it's just "rock'n'roll"

Punk Hipster girls tend to think that anything can go good with black combat boots. They usually wear dark make up, a little, or none at all. There's no inbetween. They love black leather jackets and skirts. They also tend to have a artsy side. They may seem dark and really attractive and seem full of rebellion on the outside but once you get to know them they are the most kind girls out there. Very stereotypical but sometimes do self harm. They might play guitar and sing a bit. If you win their heart over then don't take it for granted...
Punk Hipster boys are the keepers. They might seem all bad on the outside with their leather jackets Doc Martin boots for males and maybe be smoking a cigarette. But when there is that one special person that really gets to them they end up being the biggest cuddly bear. Their personality is key. They might self harm. They tend to see more than a girls appearance which is absolutely awesome (they don't mind if she's overweight) If you get a punk hipster boy then always keep his heart in a safe place...A place he won't get hurt..

By 1982, the Nazi Punk fad was driven underground, because the big record companies were no longer interested in signing punk rock bands and were totally focused on New Wave. Without the mainstream media paying attention punks started concentrating less on image and more on substance.
Most of the Nazi Punks were uneducated and not nearly as bigoted and extreme as their Nazi fetish would indicate.
In the '70s, Darby and Sid were into heavy leather and swastikas on their clothes. Although they were cross-dressing, they could also be considered Nazi Punks.

a new style of punk with a marked difference in clothes. instead of mowhawks, chains, black clothes and mascara...neo punks generally wear some colour and their hair more resembles emo-punk or skater-punk styles. rather than tight black jeans and plaid...neo-punks are more associated with pinstripe or plain coloured pants. neo-punks tend to hold the same attitudes as punks in regards to their hate towards authority and conformists. neo-punks are also distinguised from punks in their music. they generally dont listen to old school punk ie. ramones and bad religion. rather they listen to some of the newer punk groups such as mxpx, nofx, fall out boy etc.
a neo-punk is a toned down punk. generally less outrageous in appearance.
that guy doesnt wear black and make-up...but he still seems to hate the bloody conformists
