*Context*

Prior to the Great Depression, opinions about how to properly manage the economy were dominated by Neoclassical economics, which advocated little government intervention. In particular, unemployment was regarded as the consequence of workers failing to accept wages sufficiently low to permit full employment.
During the Great Depression, unemployment soared to 25% in the USA and Germany. Economics had no advice to give to leaders anxious to do something, and none of the neoclassical predictions were coming true. The government of the UK commissioned J.M. Keynes to lead a commission of top British economists in a general review of economic theory; their finding were summarized by Keynes in *The General Theory*.
*The Findings*

The Cambridge team did not have access to statistics of national income and product accounting (NIPA). They did have some data on unemployment and prices, especially from the USA.
Keynes also identified several inherent logical problems with neoclassical economic theory about saving and investment. The theory said that all economic output of an economy would tend to be consumed; all saving would be invested; and all workers would be employed, *provided wages fell low enough*.
Keynes noted the economic mechanism by which investment occurs has little to do with the existing rate of saving; both are influenced by interest rates, but other forces come into play (e.g., liquidity preference for saving, business opportunities and user cost for investment). Hence, aggregate demand can drift very far out of alignment with output (or potential output).
Another finding was that employment rates actually did not respond in a predictable way to the fall in wages. The US economy suffered periods when a reduction in the wage level lead to increases in employment, despite the assumption that workers would have withdrawn from the labor market.
Finally, Keynes proposed the use of monetary policy and fiscal policy for regulating business cycles.
The *The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money* completely shook up the world of economic policy. Hereafter, governments took responsibility for economic conditions or they lost power.

There has been much said about men and women and their respective dating strategies. Much of the ‘rules’ about these gender interactions have been debated and discussed for years. When does a person slip out of that ‘potential mate’ category and into the friend-zone?This theory proposes that it is less about time, and more about the dimensions that surround the particular relationship that dictates this.
One must first imagine an American-Indian T.P or tent pole that was first used in the mid-18th century and is still being used today. It can be closed by closing the flap and this flap can be held open to allow for easy entry and exit into the tent. If one were to apply this picture to a relationship between a man and a woman, it will allow for the theory to be understood. The theory says that when the flap is open, the relationship still has potential to turn into a romantic one. However, once this flap is closed and the time has elapsed, the relationship enters the friend-zone as referred to earlier and it remains this way. The potential for any further romantic activity or feelings has diminished.
The reasons for the closing of the flap are specific to the relationship. Examples could be lack of common ground, lack of sexual attraction, an immobile man not ‘making the move’ and a host of others.

Also called 'The Buffalo Theory' is a hypothesis by Dr. John Deszo Ratzenberger who believed that by imbibing certain amounts of alcohol, an individual could increase their intelligence. Specific areas of study included problem solving, memory, and imagination.

In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That, Wendt, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

"Hentai-pre-Rule 34 Theory" states that for every conceivable subject about which porn has inevitably been produced, hentai portraying such acts has existed prior to.
