In Nordic/Scandinavian countries, "taking an arrow to the knee" meant that you are getting married/already got married. It refers to when we propose, we fall to one knee, comparing it to when a man gets shot in the leg, he, of course, falls to one knee.
Like most definitions already posted the most popular example comes from Skyrim: "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee". The guards are married, and can't go out adventurer, not crippled.

Someone who has the onset of the craps which are creeping out, while pushing upon thong underwear.
While riding four-wheelers with our friends in the woods I had to "go bad" and while I was pulling down my thong underwear I was told I was knocking an arrow!

Cupids arrows are when someone shows you affection you get a tiny needle point pain in your heart, but it's good. Similar to the heart break feeling. Also phrased and/or known to feel like they are breaking your hearts "walls" down.

Arrow to the knee is kind of a joke that originated from a video game called Skyrim. The line from the game is "I used to be an adventurer like you...then I took an arrow to the knee". Many people like to use the phase "...arrow to the knee" at the end of a sentence to compare themselves to what the person can do, or what they are doing.
Man 1 I used to write like you... until I took an arrow to the knee.
Man 2 What?
Man 1 An arrow to the knee.
Man 2 Sorry to hear that.

The precision aerobatics display team of the royal air force. Widely regarded as one of, if not the best display team in the world. Their most famous manouver is almost undoubtedly the 'diamond 9' formation.
The red arrows use BAE hawk trainer jets that are light, nimble and agile. Their livery is, unsurprisingly, red.
Often use red, white and blue smoke trails to create mesmerizing effects.
Another famous manouver, so exciting it is now used by other aero-display teams as well, is the high-speed pass, whereby two jets speed directly towards eac other from opposite ends of the airfield, seemingly on a collision course. As they meet in the center, the jets tip their wings 90 degrees in opposing directions, and by so doing passing each other with inches to spare.
The red arrows, in displays, are absolutely stunning. Undoubtedly one of the list of 50 things to do/see before you die!!
