2. A person who does not believe in the existence of a divine being but seems to find the need to insult Christians for their belief in God while seemingly forgetting the many other religions that believe in a "divine being"

Someone smart enough to realize that not only is there no god, but that the 'why' question is completely irrelevant. It is rather based on the unfalsifiable assumption that because we as humans can plan and scheme, then so the rest of the universe must also have a 'prime mover' who planned and schemed this world as well (even though to say that there is prime mover would mean that one would need to go into infinite regress). This world view is closely related to the pre-Copernican view that the earth was the center of the universe.
Theist: Look Atheist, I don't care how many facts and figures you throw at me, you still cannot tell me how science can answer the "why?" question.
Atheist: What is the "why?" question?
Theist: Well duh! it's only the most important question in the world! It's about why we are here!
Atheist: Why does that matter?
Theist: Because, it would tell us our purpose in life!
Atheist: Why does that matter?
Theist: Because, why would you live in a world where there is no purpose to what you do? There needs to be something to guide us!
Atheist: So are you saying that instead of figuring that out on your own, you want someone or some"thing" else to tell you what your life is about?
Theist: NO.....I just don't think that anyone would want to live in a world with no purpose
Atheist: Listen Theist, I'm gonna go and have sex with your mom. I'll let you know if I find the answer to that when I get back okay?

Someone who does not believe in a deity.
Does not need to be "tolerant" of other people's silly, unfounded ideas when he knows full well that people kill each other over said silly unfounded ideas.
"Intolerant" atheists are usually dismissed as being "close-minded" or spiteful, when in fact they merely actively debate against the idea of using faith as a means of acquiring truth.
They debate it not because they feel superior, but because they know that faith is a dangerous idea with significant consequences in the world.
Atheist:"I think Mike's belief in green fairies is kind of ridiculous"
Theist:"I agree, Mike will believe anything!"
Atheist:"I think your belief in God is kind of ridiculous as well"
Theist: "Hey, don't bash my beliefs man!"
There should be no taboo in debating religion, as there is none in science, politics, or any other forum

One who does not beleive in the existance of god. Literally "no-god" ism. a=no/not (ancient greek) and theos=god (ancient greek).
Atheists have a common reputation of not bothering to think about life and will go to hell for their ignorance. In actual fact, atheists do a hell of a lot more thinking than the religeous who blindly follow because they take fictional books far too fucking literally. While christians beleive in god, heaven, hell, sin, the devil and armageddon, atheists realise this is all bullshit and do a favour by not scaring the shit out of everyone; And not causing countless bloody wars; And not telling people that you are giving satan power by jizzing on the ground.
Christian: Look at that atheist, he will burn in hell for his ignorance. I bet he's never scared the shit out of anyone in his life.
Muslim: Yeah, tough look for him he's not getting 21 virgins when he dies like I am.
Christian: Look at how much we have in common, uniting under god, now where were we...

someone who does good things because they are good, as opposed to Theists, who do good things solely in order to earn brownie points with some sort of God in order to get into heaven
Theist - "Here's £5 for cancer research, but don't spend it on Stem Cell research. I'm going straight to heaven now."
Atheist - "Here's £5 for cancer research, spend it on whatever works. I'm going straight to Subway now."
