Also known as: Hangtown or P'ville
A small town in the Sierra Nevada Foothills known for Placer Mining during the California Gold Rush, Wheelbarrow Racing, the bars Poor Red's (where the Golden Cadillac was created) and the Hangman's Tree (where a mannequin hangs from a noose over Main Street), and having too many antique stores.
Also the hometown of locally hated hack painter Thomas Kinkade, whose bad art graces everything from "collectible" plates to Beanie Babies. His style is encompassed in the phrase "If you've seen one, you've seen 'em all."
"The Bell Tower on Main Street in Placerville, Ca is picturesque.
Or maybe just a driving hazard."

A conservative, wealthy, mostly Republican town of 45,000 people located 20 miles east of Sacramento. Almost all the nicer cars in the high schools' parking lots belong to the students, some of whom received vehicles like luxury SUVs for their 16th birthdays--no kidding. Folsom's wealthiest neighborhoods have worked hard to maintain their well deserved reputation for snobbery. To many, a "mismatched" outfit means you're wearing a Tommy Hilfiger shirt with Abercrombie&Fitch pants. The Johnny Cash song, "Stuck in Folsom Prison," is based on--you guessed it: the prison in Folsom, which is at the far eastern edge of town. Folsom does have a small low-income area, but most people don't know about it because no major streets go through there.
I used to live in Folsom, CA. It's a clean, well maintained town, but I sure don't miss the snobs.

The type of person who think California is so cool that he spent his entire life traveling to different places in California.

Guy 2: Man, he must be a real CA traveler

Chino is a city closer to the LA ( Los Angeles) area in San Bernardino County (Surrounding areas are Ontario, Pomona, Montclair, and Chino hills) Chino CA is a pretty safe place to live, probably not the safest but as long as you donโt go disrespecting anyone no one will bother you. Chino ranks the 82 most safest place in Southern California. The crime rate is 73% or higher. Many people like to say that Chino is ghetto and a horrible place to live when in reality itโs not, there are a few parts to Chino, there is the part of Chino where all the cows and farms are then the more โdangerousโ side of chino (downtown chino) and surrounding that is the โbetterโ side of Chino. Mountain View Park is the area where the โgoodโ and โbadโ parts of Chino intersect. If Iโm not mistaken there are three gangs in Chino, the gangs are Surfer, Cowboys Gang , and the Chino Sinners . The Chino Sinners are the most known in chino, they havenโt been as active since about 2011 because of an incident in 2010( C street, Second st to oaks I believe ) . People usually mistake you to live in Chino hills when Chino hills and Chino are two completely different places. In Chino Latinos are the majority of people there, then whites and other. The people in Chino are one of the most realest people. Places where teens or young adult kick it to chill is Mountain View park and maybe the park behind City Hall and outside of chino The View in Chino hills or The Shopps. Chino is over all a pretty fun place to live.
Person 1: โWhere do you live?โ
Person 2: โ In Chino, CA โ
Person 1: โ Oh ya Chino hills?โ
Person 2 โ no just Chino.โ
