Rejected from society, the young emo kid struggles to find himself by means of going home every night and write depressing poems while he listen to bands like secondhand serenade and taking back sunday and making love to his razorblade and fawning over a girl he will never get due to his outcast status.

Emo ppl r ppl who dont fit into the mainstream.
contrary to popular belief, they dont all slit their wrists. and not all are always depressed. dont wear glasses unless they need them. they all have their own original style, and the base is any clothes that r black, stripy, checkered, random, or are band merchandise. black skinny jeans are popular, but not mandatory. other options are black skirts, 3/4 pants, short shorts with short dress. accessories are the messenger bag, has patches, pins, badges, and whatever they want to put on it, and jewlery is coloured bracelets, wrist bands, black nail polish, arm warmers, random socks or just black socks, or stocking socks, chucks, punk shoes, checkered anklets, kung-fu shoes, black sandals. hair is usualy black, with streaks or dark red in it, short at the back teased with a comb, or spiked, and tapered to long over the front, cropped fringe to the side, or long over one eye, or shaved on one side to long over the other side, or some girls have layered shoulder-length hair. dark eyeliner and mascara is totaly necessary. some have red on top of that..and white foundation, red lipstick. i go a bit diff and have pink lip-gloss, but u get the picture, u can get away with whatever if u have the format..
emo kids r creative. expressive through poetry, song-writing, art. going to shows of their fav bands, and 2 meet friends.
love music., listening to records, and on i-pods. i have CDs. i heard its not emo to have CDs, but whoever said that can kiss my emo ass, coz CDs are just another way 2 listen 2 music- which is the main part!
dont stereotype the emo kids!
Emo isnt as strict as u think, we are not all the same like u think, stereotyping is just like rumors, 99.9%bulshit.

those stupid but hullarious to watch kids that go around in tight ass pants & stud belts &black converse & the straightened swoop bangs w/ black or verry dark hair that talk about how much they hate their lives && about killing themselves even though we know, and so do they, that they will never have teh balls to do it. oh, and they commenly wear cheap stunnas from warped tour or hottopic & they can even be cought in hollister from time to time. Basicly, theyre teh biggest fucking posers on the planet.

Teenagers who are totally wrapped up in themselves (like all teenagers). They listen to corporate fed music deliberately designed to create yet another sub culture fashion statement for the purposes of selling product. They are following a trend carefully placed by marketing and advertising giants. They believe their rebellion? is there own as they are fed the belief everything is turning to shit. They will grow up and realise ALL of us are in the same shit and whineing about how hard done by they are is a futile waste of energy better spent getting on with it. In all fairness teens want to feel they are different and creative so another weird trend is no surprise.
Diary:I sat and cried listening to Murder Doll all night, then peroxided my really long fringe. I need more make up again.

alrightly, im sick of people saying emo kids are bi-sexual and whiney. Most are just misunderstood. We wear what we want to wear no matter what. Emos just like to be themselves and they are always pushed down because of it. Not all emos cut themselves either. Granted some do but, if thats what they need to do to make them feel better inside then so be it. Everyone looks down of the little emo kid who slit their wrists but, nobody says anything to anorexic preps or slutty whores because they are popular.

a kid who listens to really good music wears wat ever he or she feels like is very intune with their emotions likes to write poetry. emo kids can be drugies or straight edge
people only talk trash about emo becauz either they dont fully undersand the genre or they see stupid ppl saying there emo cauz its a fad. emo kids do not always cry and arent all ways deppresed and do not cut them selfs 24/7.im and emo kid my self and i live a pritty nomal life the only reason im differant is becauz i dont like popularity im intune with my emotions and im artistic(though so are most ppl so that one doesnt count). i listen to underground and mainstream music as long as its good music. i listen to many forms of rock including emo, hardcore,punk,and metal. although some emo kids may be prity well off that doesnt mean they dont have feelings. u dont have to be poor and have abusive parents to be depressed i hope this has taught all u loosers out there that emo is not just a stupid fad run by preps.
