Meta means of or relating to itself. Invoking the phrase will confer a measure of humility unto simplistic understandings of life which from time to time take the form of egoistic or at-a-distance notions about one or another's relation to the universe. This is accomplished by applying the definiton of the phrase/idea "That's so meta" which infers a measure of continuity between individual consciousness or group consciousness and all else considered to lie beyond or outside or apart from the illusory boundary of one's entity and/or awareness, all else being defined as: "the rest of the universe". Governing the relation of parts to the whole.
The humans living on earth keep a list of endangered species, remaining conveniently and blissfully unaware to their own threatened status, a status which is substantiated by facts of life. More specifically, by virtue of the reality of their complete reliance on a single planet (Earth) for their continued survival as a species. That's so meta.

Two theoretical constructs:
1) Experiential suggests consciousness/meta awareness dissociations-the notation that individuals can have an experience (experiential consiousness) without being explicitly aware of their interpretation of the experience (meta awareness).
2) The discovery misattribution-notation that individuals can confuse the experience with the discovering meta-awareness of the prior experience with the discovery memory itself.
In other cases the change may involve regaining meta-awareness of that meaning of the experience with the discovery that, through deliberate or non-deliberate manipulation of the monitoring system, has not been reflected on for some time.
Leading to the individual to a profound sense of discovery that will persuade the individuals, rightly or wrongly, that they are accessing the memory for the first time. As a consequence of a variety of encoding factors, range from the very straight forward (e.g. age, lack of discussion, stress) the more esoteric (e.g. dissociation, nocturnal cognitive processing). Particularly when they are disjunctive with other experiences, may continue to elude retrospective meta-awareness, thereby making them difficult to retrieve deliberately. Instead they may await unique contextual cues that overlap with the original experience. Also demonstrated in sleep laboratory’s. When this process occurs it triggers an individual to regain or gain new insights about one’s self. Not to be confused with false memory. Participation studies using DES low/high scored test to interprit false memory or actual tramatic memory by Mean Interference score. PTSD, and suppressed memory’s are located by these study’s and motivation of an person to have a sense of meta-awareness. ;) Think I've got You buddy!

Metaism is a critical theory which can be generally applied to art, literature, and philosophy. First used primarily by young, self-ascribed intellectuals in the early 1990's, it remains the only theory to attempt to combine historical, cosmological, authorial, readerly, inter- and subtextual analysis techniques.
feminism and other -isms fail only in that as critical discourses they are incomplete; meta-ism describes the totality of human experience, and is by it's own metality capable of critiquing itself. In that way, it is also error correcting, at least until error itself becomes obsolete.

Where someone is salty from a previous game and take it to the next game to exact revenge for the previous game. They don't care if they will win the game all they care is about getting revenge. Usually used in strategy games.
Dude 1: man, jack is throwing the game just to kill this one guy.

A term used typically in a video game toward players who firmly believe that it's only necessary to use Characters or strategies that are "popular", "high tier", or simply put, "meta". In most cases, Meta Maggots Disparage players who prefer less popular strategies who take a more unique approach to games, or otherwise, purely for enjoyment.
Being a Meta Maggot is commonly mistaken as a skilled player, but rather a player who is copying another player's successful strategies, allowing the meta maggot player to appear skilled for copying the strategy of a skilled player.
"Can you please stop being a meta maggot for once, and actually think for yourself? You might enjoy the game more."
The meta maggot insisted on playing as Fox in Super Smash Brothers Melee since Fox is considered top tier/meta.
The meta maggots absolutely hated the Valkyrie profile FFBE unit banner because all the units didn't fit in the game's competitive meta scene.
