The Gulf coast. Originally used to refer to the Texas coast and sometimes Texas in general, it now has expanded to generally mean the entire American region bordering the Gulf of Mexico.
While the term has been used for several decades in business names and catch phrases, the recent attention that Southern Hip Hop music has garnered has brought it into the limelight.

the absolute worst, but at the same time, best place you will ever go to. a town in florida consisting of nothing but woods and never-ending roads, a badass lacrosse team, and scene kids. there's absolutely nothing to do but fuck shit up at walmart at three in the morning, go to taco bell, and do drugs. no matter how much you say you hate it here, the second you leave, you'll find yourself wanting to come back more than ever.

Land of compact, cultured urban centers like New York and Boston that make the most use of land and sprawl the least; seasons; a region with the lowest crime rate in the country (Northeast) and a region with the highest rate (Southeast); and many areas of enduring scenic splendor. The West Coast is nice, but can't compare.
The East Coast, though slow growing, still attracts international immigrants and people from other states in droves.
On the West Coast, immigration is the only reason that California's population increases; while Californians leaving California are the only reason that Oregon and Washington's populations increase.

I don't even have to explain the places. In the east coast, Gangstas shed blood EVERY DAY. Its a tough life. In the west coast, Rappers talk about all the women, money and Gunz they don't have. It's just LYIN'. Old school hip hop from east was original. Then in the later 90s, the west coast took a stand against the east coast. It what they did was successful. But what they did was throw crap out of their mouths.At that time, there were still east coast rappers. It was like a new genre. Then came the 2000s. The east coast became familiar with this type of music. They are the same as the west coast now with one difference: What they say is real. Now, throw all the hatin' at me but remember I am telling you the sad truth.
East coast is the home to Hip Hop/rap legends and great rappers such as, Jay-Z, Slick Rick, Kool G Rap, Public enemy, Wu tang clan, Big daddy kane, Mobb Deep, Tribe called quest, Gangstarr, Nas(Underground), Rakim, Run-Dmc, Raekwon, and so much more. Also good djs and comedians are here.(5th platoon and Dave Chappelle.
West Coast is the home of the Fag Phone Symbol.

Refers to the Louisiana coast line. It is literally dirty from all of the oil drilling etc. Some say the term comes from the dirty politics in Lousiana and New Orleans. There is also a T-shirt company that is called Dirty Coast. It makes Tees dealing with New Orleans topics.
