Relations with Russia are a joke, a few years ago, not even long enough for people to forget, Russia was America's best friend. Now they are the enemy and the United States wants to punish them.

Weird political leftover from several collapsed empires. Technically, a federation of semi-autonomous states, but in reality just another half-baked attempt at early 19th century style empire.
