truth

Whatever the person speaking thinks, has heard, or has read online.

You'd be shocked if you knew the truth about 911.

Truth

A versatile declaration, originating in Irish universities. It is very much comparable to the African American term Word.

1) "TRUTH" has no single meaning, but is used to convey a casual sense of affirmation, acknowledgement, agreement, or to indicate that something has impressed you favourably. It is usually declared in a passionate tone of voice.

2) It can also be posed as a question.

1) Thomas: Whatup kiddo, this weather sucks balls, eh?
Marvin: TRUTH.

2) Thomas: I'm gettin kicked outta college..
Marvin: Truth?

Truth or deep truth

A game that you play with people over text instead of truth or dare. You ask someone Truth or deep truth? If they say truth you ask them something like their favorite color or favorite movie, things like that. But if they ask for a deep truth then you ask personal stuff like "Have you ever witnessed somebody you cared about die?"

Tyrone: Truth or deep truth?

Connor: Deep Truth

Tyrone: What's the worst thing you've ever done to somebody?

truth is

The facts of the matter.

1. If I'm smart enough to figure you guys out just by thinking a little, don't you think entities of higher power would be? I have done little to know research. Seriously, just thought processes because not one word out of fuckboy's mouth that was spoken to me was true.
2. I don't hate you. I am seriously trying to make you reconsider the things you do because I truly do care and think that all of you have it in you to be extremely successful people. i.e. you could all have amazing programing jobs where you could make a ton of money. sure you might have to answer to someone; but that's more sustainable.
3. I truly give each of you my best wishes and endless love.
4. I say the things I do because I truly can foresee the future sometimes and wouldn't want to see anyone truly effed in the A forever.
5. You can't continue what you do and expect to not reap any consequences.

Truth is I really do care.

truth

Truth as fact: A statement that defines something exactly the way it is, with no space for error.

Truth as told: Truth may also be something that contains error, but to the best of your knowledge, is the fact. It is what you say to someone to tell them how it is.

An example of truth as fact derived from an unscrambled quote from a gender war on the subject Happy Tree Friends:

(Scrambled) 'We test the easily convinced to fend off a reality. If Flaky is male, Warren alone slaps the tree pet. "cuss. gin..."'

and the truth it contains as a fact:

(Unscrambled)'In reality Flaky is male. We sent Warren as a test to fend off the easily convinced. You are one step closer to the guilt free pass.'

Truth as told:

Jim: Truth be told, the pen works because it emits ink rays from an inner core.

Harry: Are you sure?

Jim: Well that's what I was told.

truth

a matter of opinion

truth may be told that the sky is blue, but the sky is not blue to someone who does not know blue, for someone who is color-blind the color blue may not exist.
