Imagine the ultimate BREH moment and then make it a 12 episode anime. A man gets dumped so he tries to rent love and ends up lying and making everyone think he actually is dating at 10/10 when he’s really just an average man. Also if it can go wrong it will go wrong. That’s the logic of this show. So sit back relax and remember... just read the manga.

Many malls in the Boston area contain security guards which wear hats very similar to Drill Instructors or state police, hence; Rent-A-Drill Instructor.

When you buy something from a store intending to abuse the stores lax return policy and return it after you use it for a short period of time.
Wal-Mart and Target are both good for this.

Someone who has or claims to have the talent to further their artistic expression into the mainstream but doesn't have the drive or motivation to do so. Imagine if Tupac didn't record and get radio publicity and perform live, rather only rapped with friends or family and didn't have the motivation to pursue the art. In the same way, a rent-a-rapper may have a gifted vocabulary to which that person may attribute some skill, allowing that person to be a verbally rhythmic individual who people praise for possessing artistic skills.
Person 1: "Wow! That was amazing! Do you ever perform or record music?"
Person 2: "No. I'm just a rent-a-rapper. I don't have the passion for the art."
