Dirty Delete

To delete your post from an unfamiliar online group (thus deleting all responses to your post) when you realize the responses are all bullying , ridiculing, or shaming you. In groups where the members frequently engage in insulting newcomers, newcomers frequently delete their posts, which group members dislike because they like for their fellow group members to be able to enjoy the bullying vicarously.

"We got sick of new members dirty deleting, so we added a new group rule that dirty deleting is not allowed."

"She broke the rule against asking stupid questions, so we gave her some stupid answers. It was really funny, but she didn't see the humor. She dirty deleted before we could have much fun.

Got deleted

Something a basic bitch uses on social media accounts when he/she previously posted a photo that did not receive as much likes as they would have liked. Therefore, they say it "got deleted" so they can repost it with intentions of getting more likes. If she/he uses got deleted there is a very high chance this person is an attention seeking whore aka a "thot" . Run, immediately.

*post photo* 30 min later *aw I only got 4 likes / or 'insert name here' didn't notice this' *deletes photo* *reposts later (with "got deleted" as caption"

delete-happy

adj. Refers to a forum moderator (mod) or someone in a similar position that deletes posts excessively. Often, the posts in question were perfectly valid, and so "delete-happy" reflects an abuse in power, a want to censor a particular viewpoint, or both.

Etymology: From the phrase "trigger-happy" that means "to pull the trigger of a gun excessively" or any metaphorical derivations of thus.

The delete-happy mod completely removed the valid topic about abortion.

delete if not allowed

The phrase that clueless people put at the top of their group posts on facebook to indicate that they're too special to be bothered with reading the group rules, and so self important that they need to tell the admins how to do their job. Usually the post is spam advertising their youtube channel or marketplace item.

I see this a lot in groups and threads. The person will preface by saying β€œplease delete if not allowed” followed by doing or posting something that is obviously not allowed. The rules are right there for everyone to read and why bother posting it if you know that it isn’t allowed?
