STRONG MAYBE

a phrase used by rockheads instead of probably.

Hey bro, you gonna make it to the poker game tonight. I'm a strong maybe, bro.

maybe yes

Between a "maybe" and a "yes," it is what you say as you feel yourself leaning towards the idea.

Lee: Do I look like I'm in the mood to be jerking off? Maybe... Maybe yes.

Solid Maybe

n. 1. Maybe. 2. Most-likely not. 3. Probably not. 4. Fat chance.

It's a solid maybe I'll be there, a soft perhaps... a wishful yes. On second thought, I can't make it. I have bowling that night.

Maybe Baby

A phrase used when talking about foster children that the foster parents are attempting to adopt but it's not offical yet. This is a much warmer and fun way of communicating a person is trying adopt the children yet still conveys it's not a done deal yet.

How are things going with your "maybe baby"?

Santiago Maybe

a way of rejecting an offer to go out or do something fun, because you are too nice or care to much about the person to say "no". The odds of a Santiago Maybe actually ending up as a yes is about 1%, and may require the use of extortion and moderate physical threats.

"Hey, wanna go get drinks tonight?"
(a Santiago maybe:) "mmmm, maybe, i still have quite a lot of reading to do for next years spring semester, i'll let you know"

definitely maybe

An annoying phrase that Andrew uses daily to describe something that may occur.

Me: "Hey Andrew, are you going to that party Saturday night?"
Andrew: "Definitely maybe."
