Friend #1: What? Your high-school English teacher made your class study King Lear for your Shakespeare play and learn all about old age and inheritance struggles? Hey instead, you could have been reading Romeo and Juliet and learning about teenage stuff like bleeding love, unreasonable parents, irresponsible advisors, and roving gangs of testosterone-fuelled hotheads!

People who bother defining a very common word, that clearly has little to do with slang, after there are already 7 pages of definitions, of which roughly 2 are relevant.

used to assign distance to the subject - either to avoid going into detail, or to suggest a lack of knowledge of it. also can be used as a noun.
1. "there were about a dozen people at the party - Betty, Sue, Wilma, Christine, Peter and I, and about half a dozen random others."
2. "I didn't pull last night, but when I left, Stephen was getting off with some random guy."
3. "Nice party. Who are all these randoms?"
