The Half-Life of Singapore Math

The time it takes for the bar model method, the heart and soul of Singapore math, to become a common feature in most math curriculums around the world, which implicitly means that it no longer holds the competitive edge over other developed nations in math education.

With pirates from both developing and developed countries leveraging on AI, the half-life of Singapore math is getting exponentially shorter, and the “fine” city of Singapore risks being innovated away if local math educators don’t act now.

Math Sheriff

Someone who watches over all math. Like a gatekeeper. The TRUE king of all math has to offer

Tom: “Man Jimmy has been math sheriff for four years now....”

Billy: “yeah I know. People keep having the guts to face him in a dual but no one is able to beat him.....”

The Zombification of Singapore Math

When math writers and publishers in the “fine” city of Singapore discover that math-anxious students are more inclined or motivated to solve brain-unfriendly word problems or fiendish questions that involve ghosts, vampires, zombies, and other paranormal or satanic figures rather than those dealing with humans or animals.

The zombification of Singapore math has alarmed a number of conservative or puritan parents and homeschoolers both locally and abroad, especially in red-pilled states that have a significant proportion of ultra-MAGA or anti-woke voters.

Monster Math

Similar to "Monster Mash", Monster Math is the equivalent of doing a lot of math.

Dang bro, Eric just did the Monster Math by solving (8 + 26i + (15 * -1) = 8 + 26i - 15).

Boy Math

The dummy or silly logic used by half-geeky males or semi-innumerates, who think that they are getting a good deal or making a smart move from their decision or action—their faux or fuzzy logic, or bigly calculations or guesstimations, often makes them a figure of fun.

Boy math is using a dollar bill as a bookmark that costs two bucks.
Boy math is driving two hours to and fro to save twenty bucks.
Boy math is buying indexed-funds hoping to retire prematurely.
