The word kids use when they are talking to either friends, or nobody. Usually, streamers use it to talk to their live chat.

Apparently kids these days use this word when addressing or referring to their group of friends, or the group of fellow kids they’re with at the moment. It comes from video game streamers referring to their viewers as “chat.” We have officially reached peak stupidity as a species.
