Meredith Corp. announced Wednesday that it will cease publication of its venerable Family Circle magazine after the December 2019 issue.
Launched in 1932, the magazine was was acquired by Des Moines-based Meredith in 2005 from publishing house Gruner + Jahr USA. Meredith said Family Circle, published monthly, had a circulation of 4 million.
After the final issue, customers who still have active Family Circle subscriptions will receive another Meredith magazine.

After nearly 90 years of dispensing recipes and home tips to America, Family Circle magazine is being shut down by Meredith Corp.
The December holiday issue will be its last — prompting an outpouring of nostalgia from past editors there.
