What is widely believed and what is true are often not the same thing.
Movies and the media mislead a lot of people from what is true into what is widely believed or assumed territory.
Oh well jeez, if that’s true, then I guess we better get me some of that credit for all that shit that we all know I did. OR! Or, we allow me to be exploited, we allow the rules to be enforced arbitrarily and selectively, and what you say is rendered false in act REGARDLESS of whether or not it’s true in proposition.
