Social Distancing

Abstract noun referring to a distance of 6ft (or 2m) that people must keep between eachother during a virus pandemic in order to reduce transmission of the virus.

1. A pandemic-appropriate, polite way in which to tell someone to remove themselves from your safe space. E.g. you have just bumped into someone as you try to exit a lift. "Oops. Social distancing!", you chuckle through your mask.

2. A never-appropriate, impolite way in which to tell someone to remove themselves from your safe space. E.g. you have just bumped into someone as you try to exit a lift. You remove the person's mask, as well as your own, and spit into their face, "Social distanciinngg!"
