An Ar-15 rifle that does not have any assault style features such as a pistol grip, flash hider, forward grip, adjustable stock, bayonet lug, threaded barrel, or collapsible/telescoping stock.

A Featureless Ar-15 is allowed to have a magazine release in the state of California
