(Noun)- The act of placing a caller on hold by poorly covering the phone's receiver or simply setting the handset on your desk, usually followed by yelling the name of the caller across the room.
Hobo Hold often results in the caller hearing something insulting/offensive said about them by the individual they are trying to reach.
Especially prevalent in sketchy offices and restaurants.
Tom: "Hey did you get ahold of Tony?"
Bob: "No. When I called, his secretary put me on Hobo Hold and I could hear him yelling in the background before she told me he wasn't available."

It's a Canadian film thats basically about a hobo who fights crime, battles corrupt cops, killing pimps and pedophiles, all with his shotgun. I really recommend that you buy this movie on iTunes, or wherever you can get it at.

The real hobo pie is a special kind of sandwich. Normally made in the firepit. A cooker with long handles attaches to iron plates (shaped like a small frisbee) on each side, it is attached together at the fire end of the utensil so you can securely close it before putting it in the fire. You place buttered bread in each 1/2 (to cut down on sticking), and between the bread any assortment of food (turkey and cheese, or ragu sauce with cheese and meat). Then close the handles to secure it, and roast it over your campfire. After a few minutes you open it up and pop out your authentic Hobo pie. Very popular in Midwest campsites, especially after late night drinking.
