Neapolitan lines

A useful umbrella term describing the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines' shared route between Baker Street and Aldgate.

On London Underground maps these lines are individually colour-coded yellow, pink and magenta. When viewed side-by-side the lines resemble Neapolitan ice cream, albeit with the Metropolitan line's dark magenta replacing Neapolitan ice cream's chocolate brown.

Example 1:
"How do I get from Liverpool Street to Farringdon?"
"Any of the Neapolitan lines will do"

Example 2:
"What lines pass through Baker Street?"
"The Bakerloo, Jubilee and Neapolitan lines"

chug line

The angle that, if passed, will result in a rough pour into a glass from the carton. The chug line determines wether you will get a smooth pour or a rough pour into your glass.

If you are above the chug line or angle, the liquid escaping the container and the air entering the container will both be able to move through the mouth of the container at the same time. If you are holding a container below the chug line (lower angle) the ammount of liquid escaping exceeds the ammount of air entering, creating a vacume. Once this happens, air will rush into the container, pushing back the liquid. The process then repeats rapidly, creating an uneven pour or "chug".

If you want the best pour, stay just below the chug line.

The Oreo Line

The Oreo Line is a trio of Minnesota youth hockey players made up of brothers Jesse & Terry Hall, and centered by Guy Germaine. They began playing together in their early years on Minnesota Youth Hockey's District 5 team; they truly found collective success when they transitioned to The Ducks under the tutelage of Gordon Bombay (also known as "The Minnesota Miracle Man"

The phrase "The Oreo Line" is derogatory in nature. It refers to how two African American players on either side of a white center resemble an Oreo.

This term is later embraced by Jesse Hall in the face of adversity.

"What's this? The Oreo Line?"

paint the line

In Ping-Pong, when a player hits the ball directly down the white line of the table over the net - in essence 'painting' the white line with the white ball by following its path exactly.

In his last words Tycho told Gabe to "paint the line" when facing the Soviet twins in a game of Ping-Pong, the outcome of which would determine the fate of the world.
