Practice mark

Any sort of mark left from practicing a musical instrument. Sizes, shapes, and severity differ from instrument to instrument, and amount of time practiced.

These marks symbolizes the hard work and dedication the musicians put into their instruments. That, or they can't hold their instruments in a comfortable positions.

Different practice marks include the lip ring for the brass players, a "violin/viola" hicky, and some raw spots on the first finger of the left hand for flutes/piccolos.

Person 1: "Dude, what is that thing on that guy's lip? It's like a ring!"

Person 2: "Oh, it's a practice mark. He practices HELLA. It's a permanent lip ring."

Musician A: "Is..... That a hicky?"

Musician B: "No, it's a practice mark....."

Practice Date

A girl or boy you date for the sole reason of practicing kissing, making out, etc. until you've gotten as good as you'd wanted to, or it starts to become serious to them.

Kevin: I broke up with my practice girlfriend today; she wanted me to meet her parents.

Practice Hickey

When you practice kissing on your arm or hand and accidentally give yourself a hickey.

"Did you see that hickey on her arm?"
"It's probably just a practice hickey."

Practical Friday

The result of a shortened school week, such as a four day or three day week. The day before the end of the short week is practical Friday. If the week ends Wednesday, Wednesday is practical Friday.

Guy: Wanna hang out tonight?
Girl: I can't, it's Wednesday
Guy: yeah we can! It's practical Friday!
Girl: Ohh... um I had plans.

Quidditch practice

Prak-tis Noun, verb, -ticed, -ticing

1. A really awesome event in which people afflicted with Quidditch!addiction gather together to engage in seriously addicting MSN chats, which include (occasionally drunken) voice clips and webcam sessions. Quidditch will also occur simultaneously during "prak-tis", though participants make no promise as to paying attention to said Quidditch. Individuals who enjoy practice normally eat practice pitches for breakfast and can be seen zooming around the pitch & stadium on their FIREBOTLS, looking incredibly cool.
