Streamer (local/meta) meme/slang from the notorious streamer Paul Denino ("Ice Poseidon"/"goblin") and his viewers.
meaning:
Whoever he comes into contact with ends up mentally, financially, legally, morally, etc worse, than before.
Typical (but not exhaustive) use:
- By getting manipulated/exploited by him with shit tests and semi-fake promises into making money for him - by appearing on his stream, usually doing something humiliating/obnoxious. If paid well seeing how much money they can make, they're often taken over by their own greed, trying to continue streaming on their own, which, in part due to the negative introduction into streaming, is usually in the same humiliating fashion; abandoning other income or stream type options, they often end up failing more not only in streaming, but in general as well.
- The more abusive portion of his viewer base (the "Purple army") virtually raiding, fake-calling irl places, etc virtual mischievery, especially during his streams, for the lulz.
It's also often used as a joke about any issues people have after he'd talked to them regardless.
After meeting Ice he's quit his job and decided to become a full time streamer.

The Halo effect is well known. We associate beautiful (tall, slim, good face, youthful hair, healthy youthful skin, etc) people with good qualities, such as confidence, fitness, charisma, less likely to commit crimes, more giving, better parents, more skillful, etc. We are more likely to remember a beautiful face. And when we do, we will be more likely to remember positive things about it.
We tend not to associate any qualities (as strongly) with average looking people - as most people are average looking. Looks are on a bell curve: very few people are really ugly, very few are really attractive - most hover around "average". We tend to be more neutral towards average looking people. We find them forgettable.
However, in contrast to the Halo effect, I coined the term "the FAILO effect". If you see an ugly man, who's short, balding, wrinkled skin, fat, and wearing thick glasses, you associate his ugly looks with negative qualities such as low self esteem, unfitness, no charisma, more likely to be a criminal, etc. You are more likely to remember the ugliest person you've ever seen than an average looking person. And along with that, you will most likely remember negative things about that person.
Brad Pitt walks up to a slim, young, beautiful woman and asks her out on a date:
Her: "Omigod, yes. What are you doing now? Wanna go somewhere?"
Him: "I be halo-effecting women on the daily, yo".

When someone says they are going to not do something ever again, and break that statement within the same day.
The term comes from the zombie survival game DayZ, in which people tend to get very angry upon death and state that they will never play the game again. They almost always end up playing the game again the same day.
"Oh dammit I died again in DayZ, I'm never playing this stupid game again!!"
"It's just The DayZ Effect! You'll be playing it again within an hour."
The unexplained phenomenon associated with a restaurant or bakery owner who randomly and abruptly closes shop, without properly compensating employees.
