THE LIFE AND DEATH OF A SCENE BOY:
A guy gets his first piercing and begins growing out his hair and listening to hip scene music, and girls begin to like him more.
Therefore, he listens to more music, grows out his hair more, and gets more piercings.
At this point he's popular and SUPERHAWT and does cool stuff like smoke and go to shows and raves.
Then, after large amounts of hip music and piercings and whatnot, he starts becoming a little more gay. He may also start wearing makeup for extra scene-ness. Girls and most guys become weirded out.
To counteract the gayness, he shaves his head, listens to more xHARDCOREx music and goes straight edge. Then he realizes that he's a douche and nobody likes him, so he grows out his hair again, and the cycle restarts.
timothy: wow, I'm so cool with my tight pants and long hair and makeup!
shawn: dude, not really. You're sooo scene, you're kinda gay now.
timothy: oh shit, I need to shave my head and listen to more manly music and stuff!
shawn: whatever dude, you'll always be a scene boy.

A person, usually between the ages of 14-18 who immerses themselves in the culture attached to one particular style of music.
Most notably the "emo" scene as it is quite well documented
Scene Kids tend to spot someone mainly off websites such as myspace, xanga, vampire freaks, live journal & immitate their style & personality so as to reflect them in a complete sense. This usually involves cutting their hair in a way that reflects the person they are immitating, dressing in that style, listening to that music & wearing all acessories that go with the style.
They will also tend to brag about "how insertscenehere they are" because they are still very insecure about fitting in.
This is all simply a psychological way oftrying to be accepted into certain musical cultures.
As people between the ages of 14-18 base their lives around music & the culture that follows, it seems essencial to fit into 1 or more catagories. If you go outside the most popular style -or dont fit into one at all, you are shunned, as people are very afraid of this they try to copy from the "cool" people in a certain style for protection.

1. A try-hard; A person attempting to fit into the ridiculous stereotype of scene but ends up looking more like a clown than is required for the particular label.

an emo that doesn't wear black.
someone who loves neon colours, has straight hair with multicoloured streaks, lots of eyeliner, and loves to go to rock concerts.
female scene kids are often obsessed with things like hello kitty or skelanimals.
they put alot of effort into their myspace/bebo profile picture.
both male and female secne kids often have side swept hair with one side over their eye.

A popular hairstyle with scene kids that resembles a dead animal on the wearer's head, it also looks like a rainbow jacked off it it.
Scene kids need to comb down their stupid scene mullets, and dye their hair a normal color.

Apparently, young females that tend to hang outwith other dubious, self-entitled children desperately seeking to break away from the traditional "emo" pack and portray the following qualities:
1. terrible haircuts
2. poor fashion sense (leggings are not pants)
3. a slurry of star tattoos and lip piercings that they will soon regret
just walk around any mall at any time and look for a scene girl
