Dub

1. Deny something as false
2. To reject or ignore someone or even be evasive

Dub origin: Dub originated with United Blood Nation in New York City. “Triple O Banga” was one of the original code words that simply meant “Blood” in New York (strictly speaking). Rapper Jim Jones shouts it multiple times in his Wasted Talent album but it goes back to 93 from the UBN’s inception. “Double O Banga” is the complete opposite of Triple O Banga and is used in the negative. Most of the time it is used as “Double O” or “Dub” (see examples below). “Double O Banga”, “Dub”, or any variant is equivalent to “Food”another code word coined by the NY Bloods. It is highly offensive to call a Blood from NY a “dub”. “Double O Banga” or “Dub” and “Food” means whoever is Dubbed or Food has the green light put on him, was kicked out of the set, etc. Most definitions of “Dub” in Urban Dictionary are correct. With the use of the internet, Blood rappers from NY, and migration from NY, and the popularity and strong presence of NY Bloods up and down the East Coast “Dub” has trailed not far behind.

If you’re not Blood (from the East Coast) and you use the word “Dub”, you’re a Dub and you will be dubbed on sight. How do you like that, you double o banga?

1. Deny something as false example -

Person 1: “I heard you talking to Big Brittany now”
Person 2: “That’s a dub” (“That’s a double o bangs)

2. To reject or ignore someone -

“She keeps trying to come over but I be dubbing that ASAP

3. To cut someone’s face literally -
Person 1: “Bro, I dubbed Jason because he didn’t put in work on that rat José”
Person 2: “He was a double o banga anyway. I don’t know why Tracy put him on to the set in the first place. Was he bleeding though”

Person 1: Leaking like a fountain
