One definition of to "show your color" or the act of "showing your color" means to act inappropriately, (to be loud, vulgar, impetuous, out of control, undignified). It is used both humorously and seriously; when used seriously it is sometimes used to chastise or warn people that they may be letting their guard down too much or acting too comfortably. The phrase can have racial connotations, as it is used often by "people of color" to state that a person of their race is acting inappropriately, especially in front of whites or people outside of their own particular race or, thus playing into stereotypes. The phrase is used with similar connotations among one's own race at a time when "lax" or stereotypical behavior is inappropriate. At some point historically it was used by whites to mean "people of color" were acting in ways they stereotyped as indicative of their true nature of other ethnic groups, and thus was a racially derogatory phrase. Because of that the phrase can possibly be misunderstood in certain contexts.
Originally the phrase had no racial connotations; it was a variation on "showing one's color(s)" or "showing one's true color(s)", which could mean betraying ones unvarnished feelings or loyalties or affinities, or just acting impetuously, or spiritedly. Language guides indicate that the phrase is still very often used in this way as well.
"Amina, you keeping yelling to your friends and cackling; this an elegant establishment not a basement party, and you're showing your color! This is not the place to show your color, you know that."

A type of shit show (see also: shitshow) that is distinctive due to the clear lack of morality and blatant disregard for consequences for actions that is exhibited by all involved. (Preferably brought about by copious amounts of alcohol)
This alcohol must be dangerously delicious and also violently colorful to stimulate the senses accordingly.
“Broadway” is simply to denote the absolute and total debauchery that will undoubtedly permeate the atmosphere (might be mistaken by one's nose as the smell of random sex and fruity vodka). This takes its roots from the connotation that a Broadway show is the epitome of showmanship and live entertainment.
There can be no rules at all for behavior, except those put in place to keep traditional morals out of everyone's minds. Ex) All drink and all clothes must disappear by 2am.
A Broadway Shit Show should be impromptu, but can be planned as long as this planning does not detract from the shenanigans that must occur to earn the gathering this exclusive title.
The only real rule for a Broadway Shit Show, (hence why you probably haven't heard of one before), is that Fight Club rules apply.
::This means that this particular type of shit show must be a total secret to all except the participants, 40% or more forgotten due to imminent head injury (be it physical or chemical), and last but not least completely out of any reasonable human being's comfort zone (hence the likeness to Fight Club's supposed mind cleansing properties).
Dude last night was a TOTAL Broadway Shit Show. And i cannot believe that it was all her idea.

Similiar in meaning to the phrase "showing your ass", which according to Urban Dictionary def.#2 is "making yourself look like a jackass or an asshole, being a dick. embarrassing yourself or the people you are with in public or in front of other people, usually by doing something socially unacceptable. exposing your true colors in a negative way. also, having a nasty attitude in a public setting."
However, the difference is "actually being an asshole, actually being a dick, not being embarassed by that fact despite it being socially unacceptable, exposing your true colors in a bluntly truthful way; appropriately lacking tact where tact is not warranted; calling out shit like it is".
i.e. "Eric, you're showing your dick again."
"Yeah, Eric, you're such a dick."
"At least I won't bullshit you."
