Post-Hardcore Kid

A Post-Hardcore kid is a teenager who listens to alot of "core" music, especially "Post-Hardcore". They are definite about their character, and they dont really follow a basic trend. They don't "Hardcore Dance", put on make-up, wear EXTREMELY tight pants, and they definitely don't say they are "bisexual" just because everybody else is. They like to be themselves. Although they listen to alot of "scene" music, they are not scene. They do wear skinny jeans (but not excruciatingly tight ones), usually vans, band tees or graphic tees, and maybe sometimes they straighten their hair. So I 'guess' they do basically follow a trend, but not as much as "scenesters" or "hardcore kids". Yes, they might listen to more heavy music like "Emmure" or "Suicide Silence" sometimes, but they don't quickly label themselves. That's another thing. They don't label themselves. They wear and do what they want. So basically I don't know why I just labeled them as a "Post- Hardcore" kid. They don't really have name. (I just need something for the title) They like the bands for the music, not the screaming, not for the popularity, or not for just ONE song.

There really only a few of "these kids".

Post-Hardcore Kid was really not a good title.

post-dank meme

A post-dank meme can refer to dank memes that were created after the initial wave of dankness in 2016. Memes such as the wave of Steamed Hams edits (despite this having been a meme for as long as the episode it's in has existed) that arose during late 2017 and early 2018 which took remixing to a whole new level that was possibly influenced by the Nutshack/We Are Number One days, Drake and Josh stuck in a treehouse, and 'but you're in a bathroom at a party' can be considered post-dank.

The post-dank era possibly emerged in early-mid 2017 in the aftermath of the 2016 US presidential election which saw labelled dank memes such as Pepe emerge into the mainstream (which is honestly not good for dank memes) after a year or two of montage parodies slowly becoming attached to the term.

The initial 2016 dank meme wave officially came to a close with the death of Stefan Karl in 2018, whose LazyTown character Robbie Rotten came to have spearheaded the peak of the wave in 2016. He has left a legacy which had a pretty good influence on post-dank memes and with the Nutshack popularized 'but' meme edits in which a certain repeated word/event is replaced with something else which served as the basis for many countless other movie/show songs/themes/scenes to be given the same treatment.

Person 1: You know steamed hams?
Person 2: Yea?
Person 1: I reckon it's not a dank meme but rather a post-dank meme.

Post Completion Depression

When something that you have put a lot of time into recently is finally over (like the finale to a tv series that you love, or the end of a great video game trilogy) you are sometimes left melancholy, and with a feeling of "what do I do now". This lingering sadness is called "Post Completion Depression", though it's often shortened to P.C.D.

Anime enthusiast: So have you finished watching Kill la Kill yet!?
Casual anime fan: Yeah, it was great, in fact, I think I'm starting to get Post Completion Depression.
