Socially Absorbent

The act of easily picking up others social habits, such as way of speaking and clothing. Some times considered a poser.

When every I talk to certain people I start talking just like them, I guess I'm just socially absorbent.

social shaming

The use of social media to shame a stubborn or unresponsive company into fixing its goods or services. In short, it's applying the doctrine of public humiliation to shape behavior to social media and thus a much larger or at least potentially much larger audience.

I'm using social shaming to make a software provider fix its crappy software.

Social sandpaper

A person who constantly makes social interactions awkward, generally due to defects in their personality or after imbibing large amounts of alcohol or sometimes both. This person does not have a social radar and often kills conversations dead in their tracks. Speaking to this person often is about as pleasant as rubbing sandpaper on your face.

'Hey girls, wanna hear a rape joke?'
Silence
'God, this guy is like social sandpaper.'

physical socializing

Two or more individuals interacting in the physical presence of one another, without the immediate aid of online networking sites, telephones, mobile phones, text messaging, instant messaging, or other electronic communication mechanism. Two cups connected by a string suffices since someone must actually get close enough to another person to hand the cup over.

Two people sitting at a table in a cafe having a conversation with only air between them are in the process of physical socializing.
