But Namjoon

"but namjoon" is a phrase that kpop community once used to justify their faves problematic behaviour by deflecting the attention to Namjoon, leader of BTS, who once did problematic things in the past.

Using the "but namjoon" phrase in an argument to play down the actual issue involving your faves problematic behaviour, is a poor choice and shows either ignorance or lack of interest in racism, is completely missing out the main problem and purporting false moral (also called: fake woke).

However, Namjoon has proven once again he's educated and socially conscious. In press conference LY: Tear, he let us know the n word should never be used if you're not black, and they even censored a Korean word (naega) in their new song 'FAKE LOVE' to not upset anyone.

Conclusion: "but namjoon" is cancelled and it's time to use it to our advantage. There aren't any more excuses for idols to be antiblack or racist.

Karen: It's just a word 😂 Don't blame them, Korean people don't have education about this issue.

Becky: How are you expecting from Koreans to be aware of the n word? They didn't grow up in America.

Intellectual: But Namjoon understood so why should I believe that?

Karen: Koreans obviously are not educated about this issue. You can't blame them if they use the n word!

Becky: How are you expecting from Koreans to be aware of the meaning of the n word? Stop being so overdramatic.

But Namjoon

Members of boy group Bts are known for their problematic past (2013-2017), especially their leader Namjoon. So whenever their fake-woke fans try to dig out another artists objectively problematic past for the sake of drama, people call them out on their hypocrisy. "But Namjoon" is their excuse as they have heard that line while being called out so many times that they don't even take it seriously anymore especially because they say he has apologized for past mistakes, but which ones? Saying the n-word? writing sexist lyrics? Having a photo-shoot inside of a holocaust memorial? wearing a Nazi hat? Trying to act black? Wearing dreads? Or the random objectively problematic things he has said? Looks like he has only really apologized for maybe 2 of those things.

Bts fan: Oh look that guy has said something mildly offensive i'm going to attack him without looking for context

Person: But hasn't that member of the group you like done the exact same thing?

Bts fans collectively: BuT nAmJoOn *use of sarcastic emojis*
