Do the American preps (the ones that live on the East Coast, go to the country club and wear Ralph Lauren etc.) realise how SNOTTY and DESPICABLE they sound? Yes, that's right, preppies. Flaunt your money. Make it clear to the world how wonderful you are because we really, really care.
First off, preps are not generally smart because they can afford an education. That is bollocks. Do you know why? Because you do not have to PAY for a good education, sweethearts! I'm not going to give you a personal example because unlike SOME people, I don't live to blow my own trumpet.
You're telling people that their definition of 'prep' is wrong because it's not the one that springs to mind when YOU, you smarmy little spoilt kids, think of the word.
To me, and to most of my generation, prep = queen bee. I go to an all girls school and the preps are the only ones who won't muck in with the rest of the form but prefere to ignore us from afar while whining about their unecessary and unhealthy diets and their various boys, generally named Danny or Joe, who they date simply because they're 'Like, soooo buff!' Preps are generally considered attractive, mainly because they're not hideously disfigured and they wear clothes that'd make a walrus look sexy, which leads them to dub less conventional beauties 'mingin'.
and and as a sweet, immature parting shot, to whichever preppy scumbag brought it up, in Britain, where it originated, Burberry is the lowest of the low.
God, I just love some of these definitions. Makes home look classless in comparison to America, which would be considered by some to be highly ironic. Ta ta, ya'll!!!

A worthless hateful person, traditionally dressed in abercrombie, aeropostale and hollister. Hollister seems to be their place of worship. They enjoy wearing expensive clothes that mysteriously look similar to stuff from anywhwere else but with a patch of a seagull on it and 30 extra dollars on the pricetag. They are usually together and fear being among others or anything different. Almost always white, sometimes asian, and protestant. Use the word like alot along with phrases such as "Oh my GOD" and "are you serious?" Also known for slutty girls who pride themselves among other preps on sleeping with the entire football. Prep girls usually shop at victoria's secret for things, but never wear panties, so it is a waste of money and their boobs are usually A cups at the most. Preppy girls sometimes date skaters who also hate anything different. Many emos are preps who changed "to become individuals" but really changed simply because emo is popular. Preps are known to do anything if it's popular. They are also known to their addiction to myspace and facebook. Another distinction is the music they listen to. Most often pop, but sometimes emo music (as stated before) and light rock like nickelback, claiming that they are rock fans when they really only like the leftover rock that true rock fans don't give two shits about.

A black prep is basically a white prep only (obviously) BLACK! They strive to live above the steryotype of blacks. Black preps are what most white people (and some blacks) would call an oreo or comfussed. Other white preps would say we come from "new money" and technically, it's true. Black people traditionally dont come from money but if they do they are either preppy or just a "rich ghetto person". It's sad to say but it's the truth.
now I myself would be considered a black prep and yes in my circle I would be seen as the black girl with 4 white girls and i'm fine with that because no one cares!
Also, that saying "all preps go to prep schools" is crap because yes I was in a very good pivate school from pre-school all the way up to 6th grade I'm in public school now (actually one of the best in my town) Black preps generally do wear lilly and ralph lauren (A MUST) and the girls always wear coach hats, scarfs, and summer shoes.
I am also what you would call a southen black prep and for us if your black and a true prep you are most deffinatly a member of Jack and Jill, (if your a black prep you know what that is), your daddy plays golf (and can hold his own on the course), and your younger and older brother(s) play golf and/or tennis and are good at it. You should be part of some sort of lake club that has a golf course and tennis courts.
For girls it's important to be a very presentable southern bell and when you are 16 (sometimes 17) you are to be presented at a coutillion that your mother is very active in. when you pick your escort it is very important for that guy to be good looking and to have alot going for him. his profile should sound something like this: Winston Gandy III is a Senior at the Lovett School and is planing to attend either Harverd University, Howard University, the University of North carolina at Chapel Hill, or Princeton University. He is the captin of his Lacrosse team and is a member of AJGA (Atlanta Junior Golf Association) Today he will be escorting Lauren Cofield. It is very important that your escorts profile dosnt overshadow yours.
Any black preppy girl would know that it is Simply unexceptable to carry a back pack in school (unless its a louis vuitton back pack). you always carry a tote back (usually by coach or one you got from durby) with a very cute but modest charm on it.

Like I said before, black preps generally come from new money so there arn't many but if you know one then you know it because they don't dress like the other black people in your school....they dress sooooooooooooooooo much better

They are to truepreppieswhat WalMart sneakers with 4 stripes are to Adidas. While a true preppy wears Ralph Lauren and Lacoste, preps reek of wannabe neuvo riche with Abercrombie mini skirts and cheap American Eagle polo shirts that they're quite proud of. Their parents drive minivans and live in tract housing but still beleive that they are better than everyone else. Unlike preppies who may or may not be popular, preps are insecure popular snobs.
The prep bought a five year old Camaro and went to buy a dress shirt at Hollister. For this, he beleives that he is better than everybody else.

They are the downfall of society, as many teens and young adults are preps. They dress like country club members, listin to the "punk-pop" music like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan, and anything that is mainstream, and are basically told what to do by other peers. The individuality of these people are lost. Preps are very prone to being told what to wear (such as AE, AF, and Aero), what to listin to ("Punk" music, anything mainstream), and what to think (is this cool, is that bad). This is the downfall of our society. In the end, preps are fuckz0rz.
