a troubleshooting method wherein you try to eliminate the most possibilities with each test.
When troubleshooting a PC, you might start by trying to determine if it is a software or hardware issue by running a hardware test. If it passes you know its a software problem, if it fails you can conclude its a hardware problem. By utilizing binary exclusion you can eliminate one whole path of troubleshooting in one step.

A person born of any sex who fells they don’t fit into the gender binary
Now non binary does NOT mean that this person uses they/them pronouns although many non binary people use they/them pronouns, pronouns do not equal gender
Non binary is also used as a umbrella term for anyone who is trans but not in the gender binary for example: agender demigirl demiboy intersex and many more are genders under the non binary umbrella

A term used for a person who doesn’t identity with any gender.
Person A: hey what are your pronouns?
Person B: thank you for asking, they/them, I’m non-binary.
Person A: okay, I’ll RESPECT YOU AND CALL YOU BY YOUR PRONOUNS!

To not identify with any gender. They use pronouns most commonly they /them instead of he or she.
Alex is not a girl or a boy they are non-binary.

A person who identifies outside of the gender binary, boy or girl. Identifying as agender, genderqueer, genderfluid, bigender,etc. would be considered non binary
Person 1: are you, like, a boy or a girl?
Person 2: no. I'm non-binary
