A pair of comfortable cotton shorts, sometimes can be bought as part of a Comfort Set which includes comfort shorts and a t-shirt. Usually worn around the home but are suitable on a short trip to the corner store for bread and milk. Could also be worn to pick up takeaway on a Friday night.

The use of one's thumb to comfort someone when they are upset. The comforter applies their thumb in a comforting circular motion to the comfortee's upper arm, usually whilst saying "comforting snail" to avoid unnecessary confusion. The circular motion is created using the joint of the thumb - not the arm.
The concept is akin to "awkward turtle".
The level of comfort provided by comforting snail is very versatile and can be used in almost any situation. Avoid bereavements.

In the looming face of global warming, not everyone is afraid. Some folks, namely those living in colder regions of the globe, welcome this global warming with open arms. This has lead to global comfortabling being the preferred euphemism in those regions.
