Belvidere is a historical town located in Northern Illinois. Called "The City of Murals" it features several beautiful murals painted by the community, including students. The education is very good, and the community is quite friendly, filled with respectable people. The crime rate is very low. During January, you can expect half a foot of snow and temperatures less than 20 degrees Fahrenheit. In the summer, the temperature can reach up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, several events are hosted during the summer, including the ever-popular Boone Country Fair. With ticket prices ranging from $5-$8. The food is decent, the exhibitions and events eye-catching, and the teens and kids love the rides! Some of the merchandise is quality too. Also, during the summer, you can find the Wienie Wagon and the Corn Truck around town. The hot dogs are delicious, and the corn fresh from the fields. In the fall, The Fall Didley takes place. Generally a craft show, it also hosts schools fundraising at various booths.
The town could use a bit of cleaning up, and the roads could be paved again although. Alcohol and drugs do have a presence too. Car accidents happen often. Generally a safe place, the bars on the windows are unnecessary.

S2: Pretty cool. The outdoor bathrooms could use cleaning, but the park overall was clean and very scenic. I tried fishing. It turns out that the river has channel catfish.

Sterling, IL is a Boring town with alot of mexicans. like, super small, only 15000 people, and is half ghetto. and no one knows what emo is. and noone has heard of the awesome song sandstorm, and it has sucky radio stations.
so dont come move here, uless your interesting, and ccan spice things up, because you'll be bored out of yur pants, but then youll get pregnant, and can put your baby in the onsite day care at the HIGH SCHOOl, because too many girls did it to early and got pregnant.
theres lotsa drugs too, and drinking, and gangs, where people get stabbed, so dont join one.
also th mal, sucks balls. uh, theres a bath & body works, claires, bergners(carson's, younkers, herbegers, the boston store) jcpenneys, finish line and these other tiny stores no one has heard of. if you want to do anything fun, yo have to drive about an hour away to rockford, or the quad cities.
Walmart is pretty much the biggest store, theres a travel agency, nail salon, optometrist, photography studio , "fun"center, and a grocery store. all in walmart.
its pretty much the exact smae thng as Rock falls, the next town over, except rockfalls has a poop factory next to the high school, and no A/C, so when it gets hot, they open the windows, and smell the poop.yum.
oh yeah, and if you want to fit in in sterling know the lingo, WOW! and NUH-UH and stupid whore and OHMIGAWD

island between canada and michigan downriver. here there are more druggies, smokers, and underage drinkers than anywhere else. the thing is you cant tell they do these things unless they tell you. the parents are more naive than the kids, they think because we live in a small close community we dont have access to these things. island fest is our escape to something different. macomb is where kids hang out and just get into trouble because adults are tired of seeing us. most teenagers here just want to escape unless they are the naive few that are completely straight edge. generally stereotyped to be rich and conceited which is the case for most of those who live here, but a good portion of us are middle class trying to keep up with bills. parents move here because the only good thing are the teachers and our school system. socially there are major fights among social groups
