Nerd-Picking

The same as Nit-Picking but what nerds do with beloved franchise sequels/prequels.

"Han shot first! Greedo never fired! And he missed from two feet away!"
"Dude you're nerd-picking!"

the pickings are slim

there is no point in arguing with you because you adamantly reject common sense and scientific reality.

do not argue with stupid, naive, not the brightest lightbulb in the chandelier people ; most often than not the pickings are slim and you end up wasting your time.

a rash caused by a meth addict that has picked at their body and has sores everywhere resembling chicken pox

Another way to tell another person to have a cone/bong

Blackberry Picking

Refers to a rum bunch of fellows that intend to visit a wealthy part of town to steal expensive mobile phones from peoples' pockets.

Blackberry; a popular brand of mobile (cellular) phone.
Picking; Pick pockets

A bunch of thieves might say "We're going blackberry picking up west" (Up west referring to the West End of London)
