Mall Girl

The mall girls, as they are called, are the most common stereotype of a mall addict. Most often traveling in packs of two to five, this kind of consumer can be found at most any central shopping area. They are the sort of girls one sees so often stereotyped in the media as blonde, extraordinarily vain, and above all, compulsively addictive shoppers, constantly on the hunt for the latest fashions.

"Dude, I saw the hottest group of mall girls walking into Hollister the other day."

hoopie mall

Properly, a flee market in the town of Rogers, Ohio. Could be used to describe any are that hoopies are likely to shop, such as a strip mall with a Dollar General or a Family Dollar. Also frequented by trucks and dirtbikes and people sportin' the white trash 'stache

You: I need some ammo, a knock-off Versace bag, a funnel cake, a 300 pound hog and some fresh Amish produce.
Me: The only place you can get all that is the hoppie mall.

Mall Squatter

All the same qualities of a mall crawler but for overlanders. Usually a late model 4runner or Jeep JK with tons of unnecessary off road shit strapped to their vehicles, which they'll never use. Mall Squatters are easily identified by their roof top tent, 33 inch tires, maxtrax pads and empty rotopax attached to the exterior of their vehicle. The tires will be glazed with tire shine, the paint will look just like it did the day they bought it, and the headliner will be covered with overlanding patches. Light bars and ditch lights with yellow lenses are also a dead giveaway.

Maria - "why does that guys always have a roof top tent on his minivan?"
Me- "For squatting at the mall and Instagram pictures"
Maria- "does he ever use it?"
Me- "yea, he camps in it 3 times a year but paid more for it than the mattress on his bed"
Maria- "why does he have water and gas cans strapped to his tire carrier, does he travel a lot?"
Me- "no, they're empty"
Maria- "so he's just a mall squatter."

Lakehurst Mall

An enclosed shopping mall built in 1971 in the developing Chicago suburb of Waukegan. Anchored by Carson Pirie Scott & Co., Wieboldt's, and JC Penney (known at the time as simply Penney's), the mall featured over 100 shops, as well as several shops and restaurants outside the mall including a multiplex, Service Merchandise, and a strip-mall.

In 1986 Wieboldt's filed for bankruptcy and closed its Lakehurst location, just in time for the infamous flood of 1986 which crippled the village of Gurnee some 5 minutes away. The floods resulted in the closure of Gurnee's elementary schools, which for about 6 weeks would be held inside the former Wieboldt's anchor, which became unofficially known as "Wieboldt U". After the schools were repaired and Wieboldt U students left, the store was remodeled and reopened as a Montgomery Ward on the top floor and Dunham's Sports on the bottom floor.

1991 sparked the decline of Lakehurst when the massive Gurnee Mills outlet mall was built 5 minutes away. Almost instantly Lakehurst shoppers and tenants fled Lakehurst for the new mega mall. 1997 would be a vicious blow to Lakehurst's head when JCPenney closed its Lakehurst location due to it being considered "underperforming", and a larger more updated store being built 30 minutes away in Vernon Hills. Montgomery Ward also closed its Lakehurst location due to bankruptcy troubles.

The rapidly dying mall was shuttered in 2001, leaving its Carson Pirie Scott anchor as the only operating store at Lakehurst. Carson's survived through 2003 and finally turned out the lights in early 2004, with demolition following shortly afterward. The land is being redeveloped to Fountain Square of Waukegan, a mixed retail and office plaza.

SeaTac Mall

The former name of a shopping center located in "Downtown" Federal Way. Currently known as The Commons at Federal Way, which is the dumbest name for a mall especially if you know about Federal Way.

It's the city's way of trying to seem more sophisticated, but who are we kidding, it's Federal Way y'all.

Real Federal Wayans still call it SeaTac. The term "The Commons" is only uttered sarcastically, with disdain or as a way of poking fun of the gangsta posers and wannabe scene kids.

Wanna go to the Seatac Mall?

You mean the Commons?

Fuck you.

Mall Bro

A new breed of "Bros" whom sprang up around 2004.
Mall Bros are known for being seen at some sort of "Skateboard Apparel" store in a Mall.

The Term Mall Bro was created by the fact that anything that these individuals wear can be found in you're local mall.

Mall Bros Usually wear some sort of new area hat and have pierced ears with the ever so popular diamond earings.

All over print sweat shits are popular with the Mall Bro and can also be identified by their brightly colored sneakers (Usually Nike dunks or DCs) or trendy Mall shirts like Famous Stars and Straps or whatever skateboard reality tv show is on mtv during that time (Rob and Big / Bam).

Don't be mistaken Bros and wiggers are two completely different things, Mall Bros can also be seen with excessively tight trendy Krew jeans or the excessively baggy jeans.
